Having a documented list of roles and responsibilities of all the BIM team members along with the contact information will help in the case of resource allocation based on the required activates.

Standards

BIM Standards to be followed through the project life-cycle should be documented in detail. Following a set standard for modeling methodology and naming conventions etc specific to the project by all teams will facilitate for easy design coordination.

Communication

Vigorous communication is the key to succeed in any collaborative environment like BIM. Communication strategy should discuss the methodology and frequency of sharing information / models.

Defining the meeting frequency, agenda and attendees required through out the project life-cycle will help the team to be better prepared with the required information.

Quality Control

Quality Check and Control of the BIM Models and the process is a critical activity and requires all team members to be involved. Developing a detail checklist and process specific to the project will help the individual team members to stay organized during the process.
