          Our Process

          Our collaboration starts with understanding the project requirements and client requirements to help Voxel1 BIM develop a detailed technical and commercial proposal.

          A thorough understanding of the client’s expectations will result in scope and deliverable definition done by the Voxel1 BIM team. Some of the key items typically discussed at this stage of the project stage are category, configuration, scale, schedule, milestones, etc.

          Voxel1 team takes lead in communicating the process and timelines with all project stakeholders and organizes the required meetings to get the project kicked off as per the timelines.

          All project-specific milestones and delivery timelines are defined and mutually agreed upon as part of the contracting stage. Voxel1 BIM team deploys additional resources based on the project requirements to ensure timely delivery.

Project - LOD

Developing BIM Models is a time taking and laborious task requiring everybody involved in the project to follow the set-standards and to check quality frequently. Project Specific LOD is the guidance provided to the modeling staff to help stick to the standards and also to ensure that the integrity of both 3D and 2D information is maintained.

Level of Detail Matrix (LOD Matrix)

LOD Matrix is a check-list developed listing down all the objects required in a specific project. This check-list clearly documents the elements to be developed in 3D vs. 2D at various stages of the project. A well organized LOD matrix considering the BIM uses and the life-cycle of the models envisioned will help keep the models light and organized thorough out the project.

LOD Matrix should be developed and approved by all project stakeholders.

LOD Matrix should cover all project specific BIM uses along with the data requirements to carry out the activities.

Models should accommodate for LOD progression for all stages and avoid abortive re-modeling activities wherever possible.

BIM Models should be frequently checked against the LOD Matrix to ensure all conventions set are being followed.
