          Our Process

          Our collaboration starts with understanding the project requirements and client requirements to help Voxel1 BIM develop a detailed technical and commercial proposal.

          A thorough understanding of the client’s expectations will result in scope and deliverable definition done by the Voxel1 BIM team. Some of the key items typically discussed at this stage of the project stage are category, configuration, scale, schedule, milestones, etc.

          Voxel1 team takes lead in communicating the process and timelines with all project stakeholders and organizes the required meetings to get the project kicked off as per the timelines.

          All project-specific milestones and delivery timelines are defined and mutually agreed upon as part of the contracting stage. Voxel1 BIM team deploys additional resources based on the project requirements to ensure timely delivery.

LIBRARY

Quality of a BIM Model is greatly affected by the quality of the 3D components used and the information contained in them. Standardized BIM Library is essential to start with any project modeling.

Office Library

Standardizing the BIM Library and procedures to maintain the library is a time consuming process and is better to take a progressive phased out approach starting with the most commonly used components and developing accordingly.

As part of developing the office BIM Library, the following set of standards are required;

Family categorization based on the type of the element (walls, doors etc.)

Level of detail standards for the library based on the BIM Scope of work.

Standard modeling procedures for all components.

List of basic sizes for all types of components.

List of parameters to be incorporated into all components.

Naming conventions for the components, types and all parameters.

Library maintenance and approval protocols.

Project Library

No project can be completely developed using just the existing list of office library components. A specific set of library elements will be developed for the project based on the project design and the local building codes. Selected components from the project library can be further developed and incorporated into the office library.

A typical BIM component contains multiple elements;

3 Dimensional geometry of the component.

Intelligent parameters used to control the geometry in terms of sizes & visibility.

Information defining the components characteristics such as Product No, Manufacturers data, Material etc.

Resources

BIM Library resources are abundant and one should be careful that the selected elements are thoroughly scrutinized for the quality. Library downloaded from online resources should be edited to meet the office standards before adding to the library.
