The first stage of our collaboration starts with understanding the project requirements and client requirements to help Voxel1 BIM develop a detailed technical and commercial proposal. At this stage, a series of conversations are conducted to receive a “Request for Proposal / Quotation” from our clients. This stage will help us understand the client’s expectations at a high level and Voxel1 BIM team also supports educating our clients with the BIM knowledge required to make such key decisions.

A thorough understanding of the client’s expectations will result in scope and deliverable definition done by Voxel1 BIM team. Some of the key items typically discussed at this stage of the project stage are category, configuration, scale, schedule, milestones, etc. Voxel1 BIM team is happy to sign a mutual Non Disclosure Agreement at this stage before receiving any project information from the client. A detailed proposal will be documented and shared with our clients based on our understanding for client review. This stage also includes defining the technology requirements for the project.

Upon review of the technical and commercial proposal and mutual agreement, other contracting and empanelment processes are initiated by the client. During this stage, Voxel1 BIM team in parallel starts preparing for the resourcing and skillset deployment to ensure the team is fully ready for the project kick-off. Voxel1 team takes lead in communicating the process and timelines with all project stakeholders and organizes the required meetings to get the project kicked off as per the timelines.

A standard process for all projects where Voxel1 BIM team shall bring all project stakeholders onto the same page with the help of the kick-off meeting. All standards, scope, and deliverables agreed upon as part of the engagement are communicated with the relevant parties along with a detailed Roles and Responsibility matrix. The kick-off stage is where all consultants and external stakeholders will understand the BIM workflows and technology being implemented for the project. BIM Training and hand-holding requirements are also discussed and planned at this stage.
