          Our Process

          Our collaboration starts with understanding the project requirements and client requirements to help Voxel1 BIM develop a detailed technical and commercial proposal.

          A thorough understanding of the client’s expectations will result in scope and deliverable definition done by the Voxel1 BIM team. Some of the key items typically discussed at this stage of the project stage are category, configuration, scale, schedule, milestones, etc.

          Voxel1 team takes lead in communicating the process and timelines with all project stakeholders and organizes the required meetings to get the project kicked off as per the timelines.

          All project-specific milestones and delivery timelines are defined and mutually agreed upon as part of the contracting stage. Voxel1 BIM team deploys additional resources based on the project requirements to ensure timely delivery.

Folder Structure

First step towards organizing project files comes with the use of a properly developed folder structure made for the organization level scope of work.

Typically BIM project folder can be categorized based on the following strategy;

Data Category

1st level of organizing folders is to separate the files based on the category of information

Work in Progress

Published

Received

Archived

Data Use

2nd Level of organization involves categorization of files based on the file type / content.

Library ( Project Specific )

Some of the key things to note while managing folder structure are;

Follow a standard Folder naming convention.

Avoid using all capital letters while naming folders.

Use Pre-fix numbers to help organize the folder orders.

Keep the folder structure flexible enough to add & remove based on the project specific requirements.

Train the project team members to ensure that the proposed folder organization and naming convention is adhered to.

Organize all project management related files in a separate folder organization outside the BIM related folders.

Maintain the project folders frequently and keep them clean from junk and any temp files.

Archive the project files on a regular basis to avoid loss of information.
